Michelle Murray, new Executive Director of the Northern Lights Festival.

It is with great pleasure that NLFB announces the appointment of Michelle Murray as Executive Director of Northern Lights Festival Boréal. 

Michelle Murray was previously a member of the Northern Lights Festival Board of Directors, but stepped down after being appointed to the position of Interim Executive Director in May 2024. Michelle brought over 15 years of fundraising and event organization experience to the festival, having previously worked in the music industry and non-profit sector. 

Her team spirit, benevolence and managerial skills enabled the Festival to run smoothly, despite the budgetary obstacles encountered. During her interim period, Michelle demonstrated her skills as Interim Executive Director. It was therefore only natural that she should be offered a renewable 2-year contract as Executive Director.

The Northern Lights Festival team and its Board of Directors wish Michelle all the best in her new role with the organization.
